Company profile
Chemnitz University of Technology (TUC) is represented by the Institute for Print and Media Technology (pmTUC). The institute is specialized in the adaption of mass and digital printing technologies to the demands of organic and large-area electronics products. Research topics cover machine design, process development, ink development and fabrication and testing of printed devices and applications. With the first fully mass-printed OFET 2003 and the first fully mass-printed integrated circuit 2005, the institute has significantly contributed to the progress of the field. Some of the current research activities are aimed to extend the expertise towards more complex applications (RFIDs) and other functionalities.
The strategic profile in teaching, research and development is reflected in the four areas: Conventional Printing, Digital Printing, Printed Electronics, and Colour & Documents.
